On Wednesday 13th November we are holding our first Careers Fair here at Ken Stimpson Academy!
From 3.30pm until 4.30pm we invite students of years along with Parents and Carers to take advantage of this opportunity to talk to local employers, former students, universities and educators to inspire and challenge any stereotypes that our young people may have around entry requirements and discover the different career pathways to a host of job opportunities.
This is a fantastic opportunity and a great benefit to our students and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible!
Our Performing Arts Faculty have been privileged to host Destiny Africa today! The group is a charity raising money for their Ugandan Orphanage, touring all over the world to spread awareness whilst performing and sharing their story. Our students have thoroughly enjoyed the workshops and concert by the group this morning!
If you want to see this talented choir in action we urge you to join us this evening where they are performing a special concert for the local community at 6pm in our Assembly Hall. Tickets £5 paid on the door.
On Monday we surprised our Year 11 students with hot chocolates before lessons in recognition of the hard work and dedication they have all put into the start of the year. We hope everybody enjoyed this impromptu session!
We are excited to be hosting our Sixth Form Open Evening on Wednesday 23rd October! Visit our centre, talk to our knowledgeable and dedicated staff and see what makes our sixth form a great choice to continue your journey in education!
Doors will be opening at 5.45pm with talks by our sixth form team at 6pm and 7pm.
Following on from assemblies last week, sign-up for July's Dorset Walk is now open for all Year 9, 10, 11 & P16 students. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to challenge themselves whilst raising money for an amazing cause!
It has been fantastic to welcome so many new faces to our school over the past few weeks as part of our open events and tours. We hope this has given you a little taste of what KSA is really about and we look forward to welcoming many of you to our school community in September next year!

Message to all GCSE and A Level Art students from last year. If you would like your artwork, please could you come in before the end of December to collect it.
Unfortunately, we have limited storage space and therefore after 20th December we will need to dispose of your work.
Please get in touch with main reception via telephone or email HoFArt [at] kenstimpson.org.uk to arrange a collection day and time so we can have your work ready for you.
If you have any issues collecting, please do get in touch. We have some lovely work so we hope lots of you are able to collect!
The Art Faculty
Throughout this year our Performing Arts Faculty is hosting special workshops for local primary school children. This is a fantastic opportunity for the students to get a taste of our facilities, have some fun with our staff and students and build their confidence through dance, drama and music.
We hope the students that have taken part so far have enjoyed it as much as we have and we look forward to seeing many more over the coming months!
