Today we proudly celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Year 11 students.  The back-to-back moments of pride, joy and accomplishment as each envelope was opened was felt by all and the positive atmosphere a joy to experience.

The fantastic results achieved by all our Year 11 students are a true reflection of their hard work and dedication - not only over the course of Year 11 but also over the past five years.

As a school, we are thrilled to announce that this year’s GCSE results reflect another year of substantial improvements across the board in every single progress measure. These results continue to demonstrate the school’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence for all students, regardless of starting point or background. Our students have achieved and made exceptional progress - with a large number attaining the highest grades, and an equally impressive number excelling across all levels.

It is always important to stress that these results are not just numbers, they reflect the dedication of our students, the relentless support of their families, and the exceptional commitment of our staff. Together, we have created an environment where every learner is empowered to succeed.

As we look ahead, we are excited to welcome many of our students back to continue their journey with us in the Sixth Form. For those moving on to new challenges, we send our warmest congratulations and best wishes for the future.

We know many parents and students would like to give their thanks to our staff members.  We have created this form if you would like to give a personalised response and we will make sure it is shared with them - https://forms.office.com/e/qpEJ9HWhGZ

This summer, we were proud to support the Werrington Parish Church Flower Festival. The very talented members of the Werrington and District Flower Club created an amazing display featuring our artwork and school items, themed around Counting Our Blessings. We extend our sincere thanks to them for all their hard work in creating such a wonderful community event.

Every single one of our Post 16 students has once again done themselves, and the school, proud. You represent a small and intimate year group that has shown resilience, dedication and ambition throughout your time with us. Whilst these results are a series of incredible individual achievements, together they have helped drive standards and achievements forward.

You joined our Sixth Form with a range of different starting points and we celebrate not just the results you have achieved, but the educational journey you have been on. As you look to take your next steps into further education, apprenticeships and employment, we are incredibly excited to see what your futures hold and wish you all the very best of luck.

I would also like to thank everyone who has contributed to this success, and especially acknowledge the staff who have worked tirelessly to guide and support each of you throughout your journey.

Mr Whales

We were delighted to welcome Sissy and her guitarist to the school earlier this academic year. Her inspiring performance and talk on careers in music left a lasting impression on our students. Sissy openly shared her personal experiences with mental health, body image, and cyberbullying, highlighting the obstacles she's overcome to follow her passion.

These performances are not only great fun but also invaluable in broadening our students' perspectives on what is possible. Sissy's insights into the school subjects that helped her pursue her career were particularly thought-provoking for our students.
