The last week of last term saw students from all key stages nominated for the Headteacher's commendations. Students were nominated for reasons including, "resilience and enthusiasm in Geography", "being a positive role model and helping other students during Year 11 Science revision", "having a sleeves up approach and extremely positive attitude to every lesson".

We hope all students and parents are as incredibly proud as we are and look forward to more nominations in the final half term.

What an incredible day at the Lego League National Finals in Harrogate! A HUGE congratulations to our amazing team – Pijus, Ruben, Oscar, and Oliver – for representing KSA with such pride, competing against a field of competitors including National and World Champions! The students showcased incredible teamwork, problem-solving, and engineering skills, even giving live interviews!

While the top prize eluded us this year, finishing 45th out of 68, the students gained invaluable experience and are already planning their next move! Check out their journey and amazing work on their website: https://sites.google.com/view/octobots-are-da-best

Shout out to our Year 10 student Frankie for being selected to represent England at ice hockey for the third consecutive year! Over Easter, Frankie travelled to Latvia to compete in the Riga Tournament, playing a pivotal role in gaining his team 10th place out of the 26 international teams. Frankie not only led the team in points, scoring 3 goals and 2 assists; he also helped them to secure 4 wins!

Frankie has been playing ice hockey since the age of four, and his hard work and passion for the sport have earned him a place amongst the top forwards in the country for his age group. He also currently plays for the Peterborough Phantoms Under 16s and Under 18s, balancing intense training and competition with his school responsibilities.

Absolutely amazing, Frankie! We can't wait to see where your talent and hard work takes you in the future!

Last term, we celebrated the end of a really successful final Year 11 practice exam season with their very own Mock Exam Results Day. The day was filled with positive energy, supportive conversations and celebration of the progress made - students are already outperforming last year's record results by nearly half a grade on average! Well done everyone and keep up the good work! #OnwardsandUpwards
