Dorset Walk Update: Today we successfully conquered Day 2! Students (and staff!) have been amazing and shown real strength. Day two is always a difficult one even before we factor in the sun!

The sea breeze has been very welcome today on the coastal paths.

Onwards to Day Three!

Dorset Walk update:

It’s been a warm and challenging day, but the students have done brilliantly! We’ll be starting earlier tomorrow so we can finish a bit sooner. Thank you all for your continued support.

Residential Update

After another fun-packed day, we were all exhausted by the end - well, the adults were! The students, full of energy and excitement, kept going until late into the evening. It’s been a day full of laughter, learning, and unforgettable moments.

New friendships have been formed, old ones strengthened, and the teamwork on display has been nothing short of amazing.

Today, we’re kicking off with bushcraft and climbing before enjoying some lunch and heading home. We’ll share an estimated time of arrival (ETA) once we’re on the road later.

One thing is certain—there will be some very tired (but happy!) travellers tonight. Especially the adults!

Memories made. Bonds built. A truly special experience for all.

Residential Update! After a safe arrival yesterday, we jumped straight into the fun — making beds, settling in, and diving into an action-packed afternoon! The evening brought a whirlwind of activities: buggy building, orienteering, football, rounders, and of course, a cozy campfire with hot chocolate, marshmallows, singing, and laughter all around Despite the excitement (and plenty of sweets and biscuits), sleep didn’t come easily for everyone… but eventually, the rooms fell quiet in the early hours Today, it’s full steam ahead with ziplining, problem-solving, Jacob’s Ladder, more buggy building, a scrapheap challenge, and even a visit to the shop Here’s hoping all this adventure means they sleep just a little earlier tonight! On Tuesday evening, the KSA Art Department had the pleasure of showcasing the examination artworks from our Year 11, Year 12, and Year 13 students.

It was lovely to see so many students, families, friends, and staff who came along to support our artists and celebrate their hard work and achievements. We are incredibly proud of them all!

At a recent City Schools Athletics event, our Year 9 students marked the school’s return to the competition after around six years away. For every student involved, it was their first time competing at a professional athletics facility, and they rose to the occasion with determination and enthusiasm.

Performance highlights include:

  • Alexis placed 6th in the 800m and 8th in the 300m with two brilliantly paced runs.
  • Aysha achieved joint 1st in the long jump—an event she had never tried before the day!
  • Warvan secured 3rd in the 100m.
  • Jack came 5th in the high jump.
  • Eliott placed 5th in the javelin.
  • Charlie, Lewis and Emilis all scored valuable points in the shot put, 800m and discus respectively.

A huge well done to all involved!

Following on from today’s reminder about our Art Exhibition, we also want to highlight our Performing Arts Showcase, taking place tomorrow (Tuesday 8th July) from 5:00pm to 6:00pm in the Drama Studio.

Enjoy an evening of creativity and talent, featuring Shakespearean performances from our Drama Club and expressive dance pieces by our Year 9 GCSE Dancers.

We’d love to see you there and really appreciate your support in celebrating our students’ achievements across the arts!
