We had a number of students nominated for the Headteacher's commendations this past week. Students were nominated for a whole host of reasons including taking part in the Tall Ships Voyage, doing exceptional levels of work outside of school and for their kindness and compassion towards new students who have recently joined. What an amazing group of young people!

The Tall Ship crew received their certificates of completion this week from Mr Whales along with their RYA Start Yachting qualification which they all successfully passed. Well done everyone!
Last week we had 4 students nominated for Headteacher's Commendations. Hanna and Oliver were nominated for volunteering to read in front of 2 year groups and did this extremely well. Gabrielle was nominated for taking part in a European Futsal tournament last academic year where she and her team came back as winners and champions. Finnian was nominated for being a model student, who Ms Farthing described as a credit to the school. We are extremely proud of all 4 students!

On Friday we held our first Headteacher's commendation of the new academic year. Thomas, Sam and Charlotte all took part in a short story competition and were nominated by Miss Humphries for their fantastic work. With comments such as "mesmerising", "beautifully written" and "extremely moving", we were blown away by the talent of these three wonderful writers.
Well done to you all and we look forward to many more commendations over the coming year!
