Last Thursday our students had lots of festive fun during our annual Christmas Lunch. Catered for by our amazing team of kitchen staff, students made the most of a lovely meal whilst enjoying plenty of questionable cracker jokes and familiar Christmas tunes. Thank you to everyone who helped bring the event together and to the kitchen staff for producing such a standout lunch.

Students and staff also added to the festive spirit by taking part in Christmas Jumper Day. We raised a fantastic £186 for Save the Children and thank everyone who took part.

Our annual Community Christmas Lunch is always a highlight of the school calendar and marks the start of many of our festive activities.  We were delighted to welcome back senior members of our community and Werrington Parish Church to join us for a lunch organised by our Year 10 Pathways students.

Every detail of the event was meticulously planned and implemented by the students, from the homemade decorations (thank you Mr Quinn for your help!) to the extremely taxing Christmas Quiz! We hope our guests enjoyed their meal, prepared as always by our wonderful kitchen staff, and had fun joining in with the musical entertainment courtesy of Miss Ward and her Year 9 music group!

Thank you to everyone who joined us, we hope to see you all again soon!

Earlier this term we held a special celebration for some of our Year 11 students.  These students achieved the highest attendance for our Unit 6 sessions and we felt they deserved special recognition for this.

Students were treated to doughnuts bought especially for the occasion by Mr Isaac and congratulated by the Year 11 team and Mr Whales for their dedication to their learning.

We know that Unit 6 makes a huge difference to the success of our students and we applaud all of them for making the most of this opportunity.

Photo of a group of students sat in rows watching as Mr Isaacs addresses them at the front of the room.

Examination Certificates for Year 11, Year 12 (If you left the school at the end of Year 12) and Year 13 Class of '25 will be available for collection from 3:30pm until 5pm on Monday 15th December, from the main school reception.

If you are unable to collect your certificate on this date, collection will be available in the Spring Term (from 5th January 2026) by prior appointment only - please email exams [at] kenstimpson.org.uk to arrange collection.
