Calling All Students! We run a wide range of extracurricular clubs and enrichment sessions at Ken Stimpson Academy. Why not take a look at the schedule and get involved?
The final week of last term saw us celebrate a group of exceptional students who have gone above and beyond in their contributions to school life. Students were nominated for a range of reasons, including speaking confidently in front of over 800 people, demonstrating outstanding effort and kindness in lessons, and promoting their subjects with creativity and pride.
We are proud of the dedication, courage and positivity shown by our students, and we look forward to seeing them continue to shine. Well done to everyone involved.

Last week's Young Enterprise Halloween Disco was a spooky success! Led by our team of Post 16 entrepreneurs, students in Years 7 and 8 had an afternoon fuelled by scary costumes, lots of sugar, and all the latest dance hits! A great way to kick off the half-term break.
Young Enterprise is a nationwide competition involving students from all over the country competing each year to be crowned Best Overall Company. In past years, Post 16 students at KSA have had great success in the competition, and this year's company, although just beginning their journey, are already showing great initiative, collaboration, and focus.
Thank you to everyone that helped to make the event a success. We look forward to seeing what the Young Enterprise team does next!

Last week, our amazing Post 16 students, along with other school's in the Four Cs Academy Trust, led a campaign in support of Show Racism the Red Card, raising awareness and funds for this important cause.
Throughout the week, the students sold red ribbons, bracelets and red cards, encouraging conversations across the school about equality and standing up to racism. It was fantastic to see so many students and staff getting involved.
The campaign ended with a charity football match on the Astroturf, where staff and Post 16 students faced off in a lively and good-spirited game. With donations from players and spectators, the match raised even more for the charity and finished with a dramatic 8–8 draw.
A huge well done to our Post 16 students for their energy, leadership and commitment. You’ve made a real difference and we’re proud of you.
After an incredible response, this year's KSA registration list for the Dorset Walk is now full!

Last week saw the return of our Headteacher’s Commendations, recognising students who have gone above and beyond in their effort and character. Students were nominated for a variety of reasons, including:
- Bravely reading aloud during Roll Call
- Making significant academic improvements
- Demonstrating resilience in the face of challenges
- Showing exceptional courage while overcoming difficult personal circumstances
We are proud of every student recognised and the positive example they set within our school community and we look forward to celebrating more achievements as the year continues.

We’re pleased to share details of a local initiative from Culture Community. Their Saturday sessions for children aged 5 to 16 offer the chance to explore Black history, traditions and culture in an engaging and inclusive way.
Through storytelling, workshops, art and games, children can learn more about heritage and identity while connecting with others in the community. These sessions run throughout the year, not just during Black History Month.

Last Monday, we took 100 Post 16 students to the University of Lincoln for a visit designed to inspire and inform them about higher education pathways and future possibilities.
Students took part in workshops on personal statements, toured the campus, and met current student ambassadors who shared their experiences of university life.
We hope it was a valuable and engaging opportunity to explore options beyond Post 16.

Well done to the amazing staff and students who ran the Hello Yellow stall earlier this month, raising an incredible £103.50 in just one 15 minute breaktime - a brilliant show of support for Young Minds and mental health awareness!
Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a success.
Thank you for joining us!
It was great to welcome so many of you on today’s school tour. We’ve received some incredible feedback:
“Was very impressed with the Headteacher’s values and processes implemented.”
“I was very impressed by the calmness and excellent behaviour observed during our walk round, and also in the general ethos of the school.”
“Very informative and very impressed.”
We’re proud of our school, and it’s encouraging to hear such positive reflections from our visitors.
