Lessons from Auschwitz

Last term, Mr Whales and a small group of our Sixth Form students visited Auschwitz as part of the Lessons from Auschwitz project delivered by the Holocaust Educational Trust. This was a poignant and moving experience for all involved, and the students will now use what they have learnt to educate their peers and the wider school community.

The experience helped to humanise the history the students had been learning in school and reinforced the message that it's not just about remembering the dead; it's also very important that remembering helps to prevent such an atrocity from ever happening again.
