New Students

We know that starting at a new school can be a scary thing so we are working hard behind the scenes to produce lots of helpful information to try and make the experience a little easier.  We are busy getting everything updated for our 2024/25 cohort. Keep an eye on this page over the coming weeks as we add resources for you.

Most importantly though:

Welcome to KSA!

2024 Updates

We are looking forward to welcoming students on our Transition Day on Wednesday 3rd July and parents/carers and students to our Transition Evening on the same date.  More details about this will be emailed to you shortly.

By now you should have received an email from us giving details of how to fill in our application information for your child ready for them joining us in September.  This is important information that we require to make the transition as seemless as possible so please do fill it in at your earliest convenience.  If you have not received this information please email us at welcome [at]

Today we will be emailing out a letter giving information about our transition day and evening.  You can also read this letter here. We look forward to meeting you on this day.

Getting Around

Moving around a new school can be a daunting task! Here's some useful facts to help you navigate our school and you can also check out our downloadable site map here

  • Our site consists of 5 blocks
  • Classrooms are either upstairs (Upper) or downstairs (Lower)
  • All classrooms are named with a 4 character code
    • Which block it is in
    • Whether it is upstairs (U) or downstairs (L)
    • How far around the corridoor it is

Room Code example

So, for example, a classroom with code 3U23 is in Block 3, Upstairs and the 23 classroom along

Don't worry, as you move around the site you will soon pick up where your classrooms are!

One of the best ways to get off to a good start at a new school and to give yourself that little burst of confidence is to make sure you're wearing the correct clothes. Check out our uniform page to see what you can and can't wear at Ken Stimpson and if in doubt check with your Tutor first!

Find out more about our IT services here.

If you are cycling to school you will need to ensure you have a good bike lock and a helmet.  You can lock your bike at the front of the school where it can be collected at the end of the day.
