KickStart Day 4

KickStart Day 4 continued to provide students with a blend of personal development, wellbeing and academic preparation.

The day began with a range of Session 1 activities, including tutor-led workshops exploring kindness and respect, a character development seminar with Mr Whales, and a safeguarding assembly for Sixth Form students led by Miss Mercuri.

Students then participated in a tutor-led workshop focused on recognising and optimising opportunities, followed by practical fire drill training to ensure students understand evacuation procedures and expectations.

The day also included two timetabled curriculum lessons, providing valuable opportunities for students to engage with their learning and continue establishing positive routines.

Years 8 to P16 completed their day at lunchtime, while Year 7 students remained in school to undertake their start-of-school assessments. These assessments provide important baseline information that will help staff tailor support and monitor progress throughout the academic year.

Thank you to all students and staff for making Day 4 another successful part of the KickStart programme.
