Crew Kindness

This week, our Crew sessions are focusing on kindness, bullying, discrimination and the role everyone can play when something crosses the line.

After recovering from Mr Whales' Joke of the Week, students engaged in thoughtful discussions about what it means to create a genuinely welcoming and inclusive community. They explored how everyday actions, language and attitudes can influence the experiences of others, and shared some excellent ideas about ways to help people feel valued, respected and supported.

One of the strongest messages to emerge from the discussions was that inclusion is often built through small actions. A greeting, an invitation to join a group, checking in on someone, or simply showing kindness can make a significant difference to a person's sense of belonging.

Students demonstrated great maturity, empathy and understanding throughout these conversations. Their commitment to ensuring that everyone feels welcome reflects the values we strive to nurture every day at Ken Stimpson Academy.

Creating a culture where everyone feels safe, respected and able to be themselves is a responsibility we all share, and our students are leading the way.
